Buon Natale, or something
Admittedly, not how I would have liked to celebrate my Christmas. I had just about gotten some Christmas cheer, when I caught a cold, a bad one… And even more fun, I have completely lost my voice. So today, Christmas day (the only day this week I am not working, mainly since my workplace is closed). I must spend the day in complete silence, trying my best to rest so that I will be up and functioning again tomorrow. Merry Christmas Everyone!
A part of my think that this might be the universes way to keep me from singing Christmas Carols. Which, to be honest, is probably for the best.
On a more positive note, I got some extra time for cooking and I got to try some new recipes. As for this week’s theme, it a bit of an open one; “By Any Other Name”. I am introducing two new grape varieties, two varieties that can be a bit confusing at first glance. Durif, which is often called Petite Sirah (which is not exactly one grape variety), and Welschriesling (which is completely unrelated to, but always compared to Riesling). Learn more about them, and why not try one of the recommended recipes, if nothing else it is a good excuse if you want to escape the Christmas craze for a bit. As for me, I will keep on resting and maybe just sneak down to the beach for a bit, to catch some waves (my kind of Christmas)
Cheers,
