Autumn in Italy
It is officially autumn in Italy, and it is getting cold!
That might have been what sparked my Greek theme for this week. I need more sun and heat in my life!
And where better do go then, but to Greece? I know, in reality it is autumn there as well, but in my minds eye, it is always summer in Greece. So how better to celebrate that, or for that mater to remember last year’s vacation to Greece, than by learning more about some Greek grape varieties. This week the new additions are Assyrtiko and Xinomavro (fun to pronounce if nothing else). And this week with Greek inspired pairings to keep with the theme.
I have also debunked my first Wine Myth. Starting with a question I receive almost every day:
What does the “legs” tell you about a wine?
Cheers!
